Welcome to my corner of the online world as a Techie Virtual Assistant. I am so excited to meet you.  I have always been that girl who messed with technology since I was little. But when it came to building a business online I failed miserably at first.  You see I was told that I needed to build a website, then I was told that I needed to buy my domain name, and then I was told that I needed to build a sales funnel.

When I built my first website it was with Wix but I didn’t purchase my domain so my business card had the really long domain name.  I was so proud but when I showed it to another professional and she said you need to purchase your domain name. Yikes!! So, I did just that with Godaddy.

Then as I was going along, I heard about sales funnels and that I needed to have one of them for my business.  It was like talking Greek to me because I did not understand what I needed to do to get people in my funnel. It was confusing to me because I didn’t know what the issues were for my target market.

Then one day I was talking with a friend and she told me that I needed to create WordPress website and I was like “Um no because I don’t know code.”  She said neither do I and it is not hard to learn. Boy was she right! Then I got the bug. I actually taught myself more than she knew about certain things with WordPress.

She told that I could become a Virtual Assistant and build WordPress websites for people.  I attended a 3 day masterclass where different Virtual Assistants came on and talked about their areas.  When I heard about being a Techie Virtual Assistant, I was like “That is me.” I decided that I would call my business Poppin Virtual Assistant.

But, I was still struggling with the sales funnel side until one day it all changed. I took a masterclass and I learned about Active Campaign .  I even began studying InfusionSoft which helped even more to learn about sales funnels. This was so great because I was also getting clients.

But there was still one problem hindering my entire process of being successful. I knew about it but didn’t realize how much it was affecting my life and business. It was my mindset and it would take me another 4 years to get a hold of it and conquer it.

I didn’t believe that I could find clients or that they would want to hire my because I was not as skilled or talented as the next person.  I kept saying to myself, “Who would want to hire a stay at home mom who taught herself how to create WordPress website and how to create an email series?”  I felt like everyone else was more talented than me.

So I gave up and closed shop. I began a new journey of homeschooling with my daughter. We did it for two years and found out it was not for us.  So, my husband asked me what I want to do next and I said reopen my techie virtual assistant business. I am such a different person than I was 4 years ago.

I have reopened my business and posting on social media, which it huge for me.  I created my first mini course and have already received a great testimony from a student with a success story.  I can’t wait to see where this new chapter of my journey will take me.
